With the support of the UK Black Chef’s Network, Chef Ivan will offer a medley of tastes, reimagining traditional Ugandan dishes into modern fusion creations. Prepare to savour bold East African flavours in a tasting menu that highlights Uganda’s rich blend of Ugandan, Asian, and Arabic influences.
Chef Ivan’s kitchen takeover marks an historic moment as the first time Park’s Edge has hosted a chef directly from the African continent.
Fans of our guest chef series will recall the diverse culinary journeys we’ve provided, from Caribbean chefs from St. Lucia, Barbados, and Jamaica, to a chef who introduced Fijian cuisine, and most recently, an exploration of Panamanian flavours.
The “From The Source Of The Nile” Supper Club will also feature a luscious complimentary cocktail crafted with spirits from Kakira, East Africa’s largest distillery and home to Uganda’s finest spirits. With cocktails masterfully mixed by Guest Mixologist and Sommelier, Manny (@Mannydoeswine), you’re in for a very special experience. The exquisite gin and rums from the Kakira distillery will enhance both Manny’s cocktails and Chef Ivan’s dishes.
