Thank you for considering Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen for your special event.

Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen can be exclusively hired for sit-down meals, wedding celebrations, baby showers, funeral receptions, meetings, team events, artist and musician showcases, photography and video shoots etc.

Dry Hire

The restaurant is available for exclusive ‘dry hire’ events (excluding our food and drink provision) on the following days.

Fees start from £250 for 2-hour access and external catering is permitted. Dry Hire is available up to 6 hours and a bespoke quote will be provided to fit the type of event.

Dry Hire is available from:
Mon – Tues: 9:00am – 00:00am
Wed – Fri: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Sun: 6:00pm – 11:00pm

Private Dining

The restaurant can be hired privately for exclusive events of up to 38 people for a sit-down meal and or canapés. We can also comfortably accommodate up to 50 people, seated and standing. We are available for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Facilities

Our quirky and elegant ‘living room with a view’ has a fully stocked bar, a superb sound system with Bluetooth / Airplay plug and play and a retractable large projector screen.  The hire of a PA system including mics and or projector and TV is possible and will be quoted for.

Food & Drink

Hirers can choose from our seasonal A la Carte or Set menus and our Head Chef can work with Hirers to create a bespoke menu suited to the seasons and to your budget. We also offer bespoke beverage packages.

Our current competitive minimum spend rates are outlined below.

Please note: We operate an hourly rate policy of £200 per hour for hiring over 4 hours duration and / or after hours, from 10pm – 01:00am.  A bespoke quote will be provided for events in December.

Terms and Conditions

Minimum Spend versus Hire Fee
  • The minimum spend can be split in any way between food and beverages.
  • Should you not reach the minimum spend, a hire fee will be charged to balance the difference.
 Deposit & Payments
  • To confirm the exclusive hire of Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen, we require a 50% deposit of the minimum spend shown in the chart above.
  • A fully itemised quotation and invoice will be sent prior to your event.
  • An invoice showing the deposit amount will be emailed to you and must be paid immediately for the booking to be accepted.
  • The remaining balance will represent your party’s bill, to be paid by the hirer prior to the event.
  • We do not accept individual guest payments for food on the event day. Once your event is confirmed, all meals must be paid in advance. 
  • Instalment payments in advance of the event can be arranged with Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen’s General Manager.
Authority to Charge Your Card for Payments
  • Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen processes payments via a secured network and we do not keep customer data.
  • All Hirers agree to provide a payment card on booking.
  • By supplying your card details, you are giving us permission to charge at our discretion in accordance with the invoice and or signed contractual agreement and in accordance with our terms and conditions.
  • We may need to charge your card when you are not physically at Park’s Edge. A receipt for the payment will be provided.
 Cancellation
  • Please note that cancelled bookings within one month or less of the date will forfeit the deposit.
  • We also understand that Hirers and our restaurant are at the mercy of Government restrictions during the pandemic.
  • Should your event be cancelled or postponed because of a Government Lockdown, your booking deposit will be returned.
Pre-Order of Food & Drinks
  • Dietary requirements including Gluten Free, Vegan and Halal requirements can be catered for, however we kindly asked Hirers to provide all dietary information at least two weeks in advance of the event.
  • Our beverages list includes a selection of champagne, crémant, prosecco, wine, and plenty of options for soft drinks, spirits, beer, and lager that can be pre-ordered and pre-paid.
  • Beverage packages that include discounts on cases of wine are available.
  • Our bar is additionally available for guests to purchase their own drinks on the day.
Cakes & Cakeage
  • Externally supplied cakes will be charged at £4.75 per person.
  • Park’s Edge chefs can make your celebration cake or special celebratory dessert in-house to order but we also have approved suppliers for complex decorated or fancy cakes.
  • For food safety reasons, we will require contact details of your external cake supplier with a requirement for them to provide their ingredients and allergens in advance of your celebration meal.
Alcohol & Premises License Policy
  • Park’s Edge operates strictly within the boundaries of Challenge 25.
  • If you wish to Bring Your Own Beverages, Corkage fees will apply. Please enquire.
  • We reserve the right to refuse to serve.
  • The restaurant reserves the right to insist on a SIA-accredited security officer being added to a Hirer’s booking, at the Hirer’s cost, for safety and security reasons and as per the Restaurant’s Premises License.
Children
  • We are unable to accommodate very young children, aged 2 – 5 and pushchairs as there is simply not enough room in our cosy space for very young children to run around or for multiple pushchairs to be safely stored.
  • For safety reasons, children under 13 years of age cannot be accommodated in the restaurant after 8pm unless supervised and accompanied by an adult guardian.
Dogs
  • Aside from guide and assistance dogs, dogs are only permitted at tables at our small outside terrace (when the weather allows).
Music & Entertainment
  • Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen has several approved suppliers including DJ’s playing specific or general music genres, entertainers such as magicians and solo vocalists and small bands.
  • DJs sourced by the Hirer are not permitted to perform.
  • The Hirer’s choice of vocalists, band or entertainers is permitted, subject to the chosen entertainment supplier having the required insurances and meeting Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen’s criteria.
  • The Hirer’s own recorded music selections can be played for the Hirer’s event via the sharing of Spotify, CD or other means.
Parking
  • Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen is situated in the middle of Herne Hill’s Norwood Road parade, next to The Brixton Cake Shop.
  • Parking is restricted during the day but there is free parking outside the restaurant after 7pm.
  • Metered parking between 12pm – 2pm is available less than 3 minutes walk away on Croxted Road and on side rides.

Prices and conditions are updated as at 20th September 2021 but might be subject to change. Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen reserves the right to amend these prices and conditions without prior notice.
