Thank you for considering Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen for your special event.

Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen can be exclusively hired for sit-down meals, wedding celebrations, baby showers, funeral receptions, meetings, team events, artist and musician showcases, photography and video shoots etc. We are available for Breakfast and Brunch, Lunch and Dinner.  

Private hire Dining Capacity

The restaurant can be hired for exclusive events of up to 40 people dining. We can also comfortably accommodate up to 50 people, a mixture of informal seating and standing. 


Our quirky and elegant ‘living room with a view’ has a fully stocked bar, a superb sound system with Bluetooth / Airplay plug and play.  The hire of a PA system including mics and or projector and TV is possible and will be quoted for.

Food & Drink

Hirers can choose from our seasonal A la Carte, Set menus or Canapés menu and our Head Chef can work with you to create a delicious and tasty bespoke menu suited to the seasons and to your budget. We also offer beverage packages with some discounts applied for specific cases of wine and spirits.


Our current competitive Private Hire rates start from £500 on a Monday and Tuesday for 4 hours. 

A Minimum Spend quote for the cost of Food, Beverages and entertainment extras will be provided according to your specific needs. Service Charge of 12.5% applies and will be added to all group dining on quoted prices.

Please note: There is an  hourly rate charge of £350 per hour as an extension to our 4-hour Private Hire rate.  While we aim to be flexible, standard dining event contracts are for 5-hour duration until published closing times.  An hourly rate extension can be purchased until 01:00am.  

A bespoke quote will be provided for events in December.

Terms and Conditions

Private Hire Fee & Payments
  • To confirm the exclusive hire of Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen, we require the Private Hire fee and or Minimum Spend or Deposit to be paid upon booking.
  • The Private Hire fee or Deposit on Minimum Spend is part of the Hirer and Restaurant’s fully binding contract and is subject to our normal Terms & Conditions of cancellation. 
  • No booking will be made or deemed valid by the Restaurant without payment of the Hire Fee by BACS, Debit or Credit Card. 
  • A fully itemised quotation and invoices showing the Private Hire Fee and Food, Drink and Service will be sent prior to your event.
  • The balance due may be split into instalments or a payment plan, only with the prior consent of the Restaurant Manager.
  • The event balance must be fully paid 3 days in advance of the event. 
  • We do not accept individual guest payments for Food and Beverages as part of the agreed contract, on the event day.  Once your event is confirmed, all items outlined on the invoice must be paid in advance by the Hirer. 
  • Refunds of unconsumed ordered Food & Beverages will not be given in any circumstances. So, for instance, if a number of the Hirer’s do not attend the event, Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen cannot and will not refund the Hirer. 
  • Your guests can purchase drinks outside of agreed pre-ordered drinks in our contract and invoice, from our bar.


  • Please note that cancelled bookings within one month or less of the date will forfeit the Hire Fee.
  • We also understand that Hirers and our restaurant are at the mercy of Government restrictions.
  • Should your event be cancelled or postponed because of a Government Lockdown, your Hire Fee and any money lodged against your event for Food & Beverages will be returned.
Group bookings
  • All groups are booked on the proviso that each individual in your group consumes food and drinks. 
  • Groups must be booked in advance, with numbers of guests in your group subject to availability.
  • The General Manager will confirm the maximum number of persons the restaurant can accommodate within a group booking. 
  • Set Menus as well as some A la Carte dishes are available for group dining. Please enquire if you would like an approximate per head breakdown.
  • A £10 or £20 per person booking deposit is requested for payment by the group’s host (lead booker), at booking.
  • A booking is not deemed to be secured unless the deposit has been paid.
  • The deposit represents a charge that goes towards the cost of your food, and is to be paid as a whole by the lead booker, in advance of your meal. 
  • The deposit is deducted from the final bill, on production of the bill.  
  • To ensure that our service is impeccable, your group may be asked to pre-order food in advance of your meal.   

  • Please note that cancelled group bookings within 3 days or less of the date will forfeit the deposit paid.
  • We also understand that the Lead booker and our restaurant are at the mercy of Government restrictions.
  • Should your booking be cancelled or postponed because of a Government Lockdown, your deposit for Food & Beverages will be returned.
  • Refunds on deposits requested within 3 days of your group booking cannot be given. 
Authority to Charge Your Card for Payments
  • Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen processes payments via a secured network and we do not keep customer data.
  • All Hirers agree to provide a payment card on booking.
  • By supplying your card details, you are giving us permission to charge at our discretion in accordance with the invoice and or signed contractual agreement and in accordance with our terms and conditions.
  • We may need to charge your card when you are not physically at Park’s Edge. A receipt for the payment will be provided.
  • For food safety and allergens reasons, we do not accept external cakes at Park’s Edge. Please do not bring cake to our premises as our refusal to store or serve may offend. We provide cakes and work with trusted cake suppliers and will happily work with you on your cake requirements. 

  • Park’s Edge chefs can make your special celebratory dessert in-house to order, including cake, but our approved cake-makers provide the best complex decorated or fancy cakes with every flavour imaginable.
Alcohol & Premises License Policy
  • Park’s Edge operates strictly within the boundaries of Challenge 25. We will ask for ID and proof of age if there is any doubt about a guest who we perceive to be under-age.
  • If you wish to Bring Your Own Beverages, Corkage fees will apply. Please enquire.
  • We reserve the right to refuse to serve.
  • The restaurant reserves the right to insist on a SIA-accredited security officer being added to a Hirer’s booking, at the Hirer’s cost, for safety and security reasons and as per the Restaurant’s Premises License.
  • We are unable to accommodate very young children, aged 2 – 5 and pushchairs as there is simply not enough room in our cosy space for very young children to run around or for multiple pushchairs to be safely stored.
  • For safety reasons, children under 13 years of age cannot be accommodated in the restaurant after 8pm unless supervised and accompanied by an adult guardian.
  • Aside from guide and assistance dogs, dogs are only permitted at tables at our small outside terrace (when the weather allows).
Music & Entertainment
  • Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen has several approved suppliers including DJ’s playing specific or general music genres, entertainers such as magicians and solo vocalists and small bands.
  • DJs sourced by the Hirer are not permitted to perform.
  • The Hirer’s choice of vocalists, band or entertainers is permitted, subject to the chosen entertainment supplier having the required insurances and meeting Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen’s criteria.
  • The Hirer’s own recorded music selections can be played for the Hirer’s event via the sharing of Spotify, CD or other means.
  • Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen is situated in the middle of Herne Hill’s Norwood Road parade, next to The Brixton Cake Shop.
  • Parking is restricted during the day but there is free parking outside the restaurant after 6pm.
  • Metered parking between 12pm – 2pm is available less than 3 minutes walk away on Croxted Road and on side rides.

Prices and conditions are updated and valid from Feb 2022 but might be subject to change. Park’s Edge Bar & Kitchen reserves the right to amend these prices and conditions without prior notice.
